APC enemies behind my death rumour – Osun deputy gov

he Deputy Governor of Osun State, Mrs. Titi Laoye-Tomori, has said that enemies of the ruling All Progressives Congress within and outside the state were behind the rumour of her death.

Laoye-Tomori, who spoke with our correspondent on Saturday, said she dismissed the rumour when it was brought to her notice by those working within her office.


The rumour of Laoye-Tomori’s death spread round the state on Wednesday morning.

The deputy governor explained that she was on vacation in the middle of July when it was rumoured that she was sick.

She said, “When the news went viral again in the out-gone week, I knew that members of the opposition and the enemies in and around Osun orchestrated the bad news. I dismissed it with a wave of the hand. It pleases God Almighty to spare my life and I am very grateful to Him.’’

According to her, it was the trademark of the opposition in the state to always wish opponents dead.
